The Diagnostic Imaging Center at United General Hospital provides timely, comprehensive imaging services to our patients and medical staff. The Center offers the latest technological imaging advances, maintains the highest standards of patient care, and provides responsive clinical diagnostic consultations. CT Scan A state-of-the-art 16-slice CT scanner is used in our Diagnostic Imaging Center. The scanner provides fast, high-resolution images to assist with diagnosis. With this technology, in addition to a 4-slice CT scanner in the Cancer Center, we are now able to offer convenient, same-day scanning, with no downtime. We have well qualified and highly trained technologists performing the CT scans under the guidance of board certified radiologists. Scans are offered 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and are available on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
PET/CT -- For more details, please click here! We are now offering offering PET/CT in conjunction with Alliance Imaging. The service is available every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Echocardiography Outpatient services provided every week on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. by well qualified technologists who specialize in echocardiography. Our scans are interpreted by physicians from Northwest Cardiology.
MRI In collaboration with Alliance Imaging, we provide Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) on campus. This service is available on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.
Breast Care Suite Comprehensive mammography services at our Center, including screening and diagnostic mammograms, ductograms and preoperative needle localization.
Diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures are also available on site. All screening films are analyzed using a computer-aided detection system that correlates with the radiologist findings. This can improve the detection of early cancers by as much as 20 percent. Mammography is provided 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Ultrasound Ultrasound is available 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, as well as on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our technologists are highly qualified and have national certifications.
Nuclear Medicine We offer a full range of exams, including whole-body bone scans, thyroid, thyroid uptake and sentinel node imaging. Our staff provide scans under the guidance of a nuclear medicine trained physician as well as the radiologist. We offer nuclear medicine services 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
X-Ray We offer a full spectrum of x-ray services from diagnostic films to fluoroscopy. Services are provided 10 hours a day for outpatients and 24 hours a day for ER and inpatients.
