ABOUT THIS EVENT
The goal of the Cement City Street Fair is to entertain, educate and celebrate the summer in this beautiful corner of Skagit County. We especially want to promote good health, fitness and family fun.
Cement City Street Fair is free to the public and features live entertainment, vendors, kids activities, food booths, movies, health screenings and resource tables.

In honor of American Heart Awarenss Month, please join us as Dr. Peter Beglin gives you the information and tips you need to keep your heart healthy. Every Friday in February,
United will GO RED for Heart Health
United General Hospital will offer discounted health screenings (only $10 for cholesterol screenings) and free blood pressure checks to anyone wearing red on Fridays in February from 8:00 a.m. to Noon in recognition of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® movement. No appointment necessary, just check in at main lobby of United General Hospital.

Screenings are available for men and women and include total cholesterol check: HDL, LDL, triglycerides and glucose levels. A 12-hour fast is required; water and medications are okay.

The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® movement works to fund research and fight this killer so more women can be saved. But they need our help. Please celebrate National Wear Red Day® on Friday, February 1, to raise awareness about heart disease among women and to raise funds to ensure the research that could save a woman’s life never has to be denied. Donations to the AHA in any amount will be accepted at United General. Red Dress lapel pins will be available in the lobby every Friday in February. $5 donation suggested.

Healthy Eating Class
Every Fourth Thursday
4:30 p.m. • $25 per session
Have questions about nutrition? This class offers answers and personal attention. Up to four participants welcome in each class, topics may vary.

United General Hospital sponsors the Inside Track Mall Walk at the Cascade Mall in Burlington for people of all ages and abilities who want a safe, comfortable environment in which to walk for fitness. The mall is open to walkers every morning, 7:00-10:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday. Free Blood pressure screenings are available every Tuesday morning. 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Registration is now open for Trek for Treasure, formerly the Amazing Race at United. You can register here, with a credit card, or you can download the registration form and return it completed to United General Hospital.
The registration form should include all of your team members and payment for the entire team is due at the time of registration.
Registration Deadline is June 1 and the first hike begins on June 3.
Cost is $25 per team member, including Honorary Team Members.

When you complete this form, it will only ask you for Team Captain Name, Number of Team Members and Total Amount Due. Through the online registration process, it will show a charge of $25. The total charge will be $25 x Number of team members. This is the amount that will be charged to your credit card.
After submitting the online registration, please email a list of your team members to: events@unitedgeneral.org. Please include your team name in the Subject Line and note an "H" next to any Honorary Members (those you know will not be participating in all 6 hikes).
