The following support groups are open to new members at all times.

Alzheimer’s Support Group

Group leaders from the Skagit Adult Day Care hold an open support group for caregivers, family members and those who have been affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Group meets at the Skagit Adult Day Care center. Call Nancy Gentry (360) 755-1493 for more information.

Look Good Feel Better

Free classes for women cancer patients to help combat the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. Representatives from the American Cancer Society and licensed cosmetologists assist cancer patients with skin care, make-up application, wigs, and headwear. This class is offered quarterly at United General Hospital. For dates and registration please call the American Cancer Society at (425) 322-1100.

Free Health Insurance Counseling

Free individual counseling on Medicare and other health insurance is offered to people of all ages by the Skagit County SHIBA (Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors) program, sponsored by United General Hospital.
